Only one word....
There is one word, and one word only, that can be put inside each of the ten blanks to give ten different meanings to the sentence. The word must be added only once at a time. For example, if you put the word in the first blank, the meaning of the sentence changes. Move the same word to the second blank. Again the sentence makes sense, but now it means something different. The same thing happens with the word in any of the other blanks. What's the word?
______ Tom ________helped______Mary's______daughter______clean______
______Mary's_______parrot's________cage______yesterday_______.

Wow, Jeni, you're on the ball. At 5:15 AM I could never have thought of that.
Correct! YAY JENNI! I always think fervently on these kind of things for about 2 seconds and give up and look in the back of the book. :)
Ugh, makes my head hurt, glad Jen
got it - good girl! LOL
Well since you didn't give any clue sin the post....
Oh wait.
You know, I worked on that one for a while. I thought "once" would work, but it didn't fit the greatest in some areas.....
Only doesn't fit the greatest sometimes too! Argghh!
I'm like you Jaylene, I went strait to the comments to see what it was. Way to Go Jen!
